At Kat Schaper Photography I offer full-service, artistically based photography sessions to capture motherhood, newborns, children, and families.

As a mom of three, I know first-hand how quickly they grow and change. My goal for each session is to focus on a moment that you can lovingly display in your home and cherish in the years to come. After all, your family is your most beautiful work of art.

My first career path was nursing and I currently hold an active license in Texas. Over the years I have collected over 400 hours of newborn and child safety training so your most precious gifts are in very qualified hands! With my medical background I’m able to apply a multifaceted approach in each session that ensures- above all else- the safety of your precious children. In addition, I also possess the creative and technical skills to create a stunning piece of art. 

Great photos don’t generally “just happen”. There is a difference between an authentic grin and a forced smile. I lend my personal and engaging approach to each and every session. I want your family to feel at ease so we can all focus on the moment together. Laughing, cuddling, holding hands… lets focus on showing your love and connection.

You can easily spot the difference between a staged picture and an authentic moment. You can always tell a forced smile from a genuine belly laugh. I like to think that one of my best qualities is connecting with children on their level and pulling their budding personalities to the surface-letting their authenticity shine through. Capturing a child’s honest emotion is the aspect of photography that I love the most. I will feature the best, most honest version of your child and family so you will be proud to feature these photos all over your home for many years to come. I offer a classic, timeless, and personal elegance to compliment all home decorating styles. I can also create custom pieces for that “hard to fit” wall space. From large scale canvas to a custom gallery wall, I love to help clients display their most beautiful moments.

Centrally located in Austin, Texas the studio is conveniently located to serve clients from Round Rock, Cedar Park, South Austin, and the surrounding areas. It is a blank canvas, so with that in mind I can easily customize any session to meet unique needs and ideas.

The studio allows me to provide professional lighting, the latest props, and a designer client closet full of maternity gowns, baby clothing, and backdrops. I’m also happy to provide wraps, hats, headbands, and outfits for every newborn session. If I don’t have an item already, I’m always thrilled to order something new! I also have access to stunning outdoor locations that lend themselves perfectly to a beautiful photo. The ability, to shoot indoors or outside, gives me the flexibility to accommodate what works best for you and your family.

Kat Is simply the best in the business. She is so professional yet makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, including little kids. We couldn’t be happier with our pictures.
